My spouse and I currently live in Minnesota. Having accepted a position in Calgary, early in the year we began our search for a new home in that city. We came across Arlin’s website on the internet. It only took a couple of exchanges to convince us that we would be able to work very closely with him. After some judicious questioning on the sort of home we would like, price range, and particular suburbs of interest, we received descriptions of listings via e-mail. Noting our comments on these listings, Arlin pared down the options to a manageable number. Our busy schedules permitted a short stay of only five days in Calgary in mid March. At the pre-arranged time, Arlin picked us up and our adventure began. We immediately established a comfortable rapport with this amiable man. To expedite the search, Arlin had carefully previewed all the homes on our list and had eliminated some that he believed were unsuitable. We were particularly impressed with the following. Arlin listened attentively to our remarks; he quickly discerned what we liked and disliked about the various properties. He adjusted search parameters to uncover listings that he thought would be of interest. He gave candid opinions on numerous houses; we never felt pressured into buying. He worked tirelessly. By the end of the fourth day, we had still not found what we wanted. Our hopes began to decline but we were thoroughly convinced of Arlin’s dedication, and more important to us, we had grown to respect and trust him completely. His optimism that he would eventually find something for us—even if it meant making a second trip—was tremendously reassuring. Our little story, though, has a happy ending. Early in the day on which we were flying home, we received a call from Arlin. A listing had appeared the night before that he found intriguing. We saw the home in the morning, signed papers at around 11:15, and were rushed to the airport by noon. That night, Arlin informed us that our offer had been accepted. He has been meticulous with the paperwork, and has been extremely helpful with such things as arranging for a lawyer for closing. We recommend Arlin in the highest possible terms.
